My proud, hard self causes God pain. How sad that I never thought about it like that before.

i don't like that thought :(
the last time i read the flood story, it really struck me how sad God was. usually when we read that story, we talk about His wrath, His justice, His mercy, His faithfulness. but the Bible says He was sad. that's what our sin does to Him.
