Holy Pancakes!

Full Headline: Holy Pancakes! Virgin Mary Seen On Griddle

Article goes on to discuss the "image" of Virgin Mary that appeared on the griddle of the Las Palmas Restaurant. Does anyone else ever wonder how people manage to "recognize" a woman who was never photographed or even described very clearly? Or am I the only person who wonders these things...

Nope...you're not the only one that wonders these things...

I have the same problem with images of Jesus--it's amazing how often he has long, blond hair and blue eyes with a magical halo when the only real description of him is that he had a beard and looked so much like everyone else that Judas had to kiss him to identify him to the soldiers...um, everyone else was Jewish--he probably didn't have blond hair and blue eyes...just a thought.

Right. He apparantly got his features from his mother who is also frequently pictured with blond hair and blue eyes.
