Apologies...
Z was sent to bed without books, without drama. (Okay there was drama on his part.) He just came out of his room, teary-eyed, went straight to Chris and said, "I'm sorry I disobeyed your directions." We were both a bit surprised, but Chris hugged him, thanked him and went to tuck him back in. What is most surprising is that he didn't ask for a story. He did express sadness that he didn't get to read one, but he didn't ask. Definite progress:)

He just came out of room to ask if we were going to the water park tomorrow and could he please have a story. Sigh.
Agh...they always have to ruin their "perfect" moments don't they??? :-D
i suppose we probably do that to God too ;) (well, at least i do!)
no stories? i can see no treats, no games, no tv...but no stories? busy!
He'd already lost his game, we don't have treats and tv is pretty much a no go in the evenings for us so what else was left? It broke my heart as much as his. I love reading to him:(
"Auntie Hobbitsister would read you a story, but mean mommy said no."
