My Son, the Thief...
Today M informed us that the milk he bought at school was "free". When I asked him why he replied, "Well, their wasn't anyone at the table to pay, so I figured out it was free." I told him that next time he should let his teacher know he needs to pay for his milk, but I didn't have the heart to tell him that he sorta stole it. He just would've taken it so hard. :( I should probably let the school know that we owe them 35 cents, though.

(gasp!;)
Gets it from his dad...
little klepto boy!
that was nice of you not to tell him, though - he'd feel really bad about it.
scout's a thief
she stole a hippo
When did she steal a hippo? Wait a sec...how did she steal a hippo!?!?!?
the Christian bookstore had a noah's ark that kids could play with. when scout was about a year old, we left the store not realizing the hippo was still in the stroller (probably under her rolls of fat). as i lifted her up to put her into the car, we found the hippo, and erma, in shocked dismay, yelled "scout STOLE this!"
i would have waited until the next time to return it, because scout was already strapped in to the car seat, but erma was so upset we had to go back right away and confess scout's crime to the very understanding salesperson.
oh, i should add - the sales lady decided not to press charges, as it was quite obviously scout's first offense.
And only offense I hope:)
so far...
