Childbirth...

One of the people we teach Sunday school with, who I will be calling Tex, mentioned that his cousin is the lead singer of Mercy Me. Do you know the first thing I asked him when he told me this??? Seriously, what I was thinking I just don't know, but I asked him if his cousins wife had actually given birth on her kitchen floor. She did.

hmm, I must be missing something, I guess a song lyric I don't remember... but at least you probably didn't annoy him with the usual questions like "what's it like to be related to someone famous?" or "ooh, do you get free tickets to their concerts?" or something like that -- maybe it actually was a really good question :) ... although, I have to admit -- I almost didn't read this post because of the title ;)

(oh, but it's fine if you asked those questions too -- at least you balanced it;)

I heard on the radio that his wife had had her baby in her kitchen, but I wasn't sure if that had actually happened.

I don't think I could cook in that kitchen anymore. It would be kinda yucky.

yeah, no, I wouldn't want to cook there anymore, in fact I think I would want to move. But then, I'm a big "that's what hospitals are for" person.

At least we don't carpet kitchens anymore...

that should've been your next question, busy -- "Have you ever eaten in their kitchen?" ;)

I hope not. That is just not sanitary:P

the girls and i are going to a mercy me concert in a few weeks.
ok, correction - erma is going to the concert. scout and i are working the compassion booth. it is SO not the same thing.

what's the compassion booth??

hobbitsister said...

compassion international, where you sponsor a child. during the concert someone from mercy me will do a plug asking for sponsors, and then (hopefully) people will flood the booth looking for children.

that's where i met superchic(k) last year, because i'm the coolest mom ever.
