I'm pretty sure he meant prisoner since he was playing his own version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
"His own version" means no Donny Osmond, right? Bummer.
It sorta means that there were very few characters other than him.
He must be pretty talented to play all 12 sons of Jacob.
