This is D.A.R.E. week at the kids school, so Z has been running around chanting, "drugs are not cool!". I'm thinking maybe the program may need some changes, though...
Me: Z, do you know what drugs are?
Z: Not cool!
Me: Yes, drugs are not cool, but what are drugs?
Z: Bad things?
Me: What kind of "bad things"?
Z: I don't know. But I am totally turning my back on them!
Sigh...

So, did you enlighten him?
LOL! I love your kids!
I thought I had, but then today I asked him again what drugs were and he says,
"Bad things like medicine that a doctor didn't give you. You shouldn't take that unless it looks like candy."
I think we are going from bad to worse...
LOL!!!
oh that is wonderful in so many ways!
Much like Trick or Treat. 364 days a year we say don't talk to, or take candy from, strangers. Then we go to their houses and ask under threat of retaliation for candy... hmmm.
if he doesn't ever figure it out, you can send him to california. maybe he can legally get some marijuana there, and it would all be ok.
He may be able to get medical marijuana, but he won't be able to get a happy meal toy anymore.
well, that's good, because happy meals are the root cause of all the problems in this world.
all i remember from d.a.r.e. is that the officer was hot. all we 5th grade girls thought so. :)
