I tried to play Would You Rather with M today, but it didn't go so well.
Me: Would you rather bite your tongue or stub your toe?
M: No.
Me: You have to pick one.
M: Why?
Me: That's how you play the game. You pick one and then we have a lively discussion about why you chose that one.
M: I didn't choose one.
Me: So, choose one and we'll talk about it.
M: Okay. I'd rather not play this game 'cause its dumb.

Personally I'd rather stub my toe.
i was thinking bite my tongue.
it's hard to disagree with m's logic, though.
we used to play the "wise/unwise" game to stimulate lively discussion:
is it wise or unwise to play in the street? is it wise or unwise to brush your teeth?
then as the girls got older, they'd make up silly ones: is it wise or unwise to kiss a dinosaur?
What kind of dinosaur?
hmm...good question. i suppose you could choose.
aww, I play this game with my students & they usually like it. :) But that wise/unwise game sounds good too -- and more useful. ;)
That is such a M 'well duh' moment... he's too cute :)
he's just too smart for you, busy
Who isn't too smart for me, really? And I wouldn't mind kissing a brontasaurus, but not a velocaraptor (or however its spelled).
